The first annual Cocoa & Carols event saw the fellowship hall transformed with Christmas lights and festive cheer during the last midweek Advent service in December! A fellowship dinner hosted by the 8th grade class of St. John’s Lutheran School was enjoyed, and crafts and a storyteller were available for the children during the dinner hour while parents enjoyed each other’s company. After the worship service of Holden’s Evening Prayer, we were back in the fellowship hall with cups of hot chocolate, plates of cookies, and conversation, laughter, and good fellowship. We gathered around the piano to sing our favorite Christmas songs, and enjoyed rousing choruses from young and old alike. This event was about family, and if you happened to be present, you happened to be family!
